  • 2 cans frosting ((any white variety))
  • mini chocolate chip
  • marshmallows (large and small)

Decorations - Optional

  • gel food colors


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180ºC / 350ºF / Gas Mark 4.

Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.

Whisk together dry ingredients.

In a large bowl or mixer, cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar until a thick paste forms (about 1 min.).

Add eggs, mix in well.

Add dry ingredients and vanilla; mix until a dough forms.

Stir in chocolate chips.

Step 2

Drop by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets, about 5cm (2") apart.

Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack 3-5 minutes before removing cookies to a rack to cool completely.

Step 3

Meanwhile, in 3 medium bowls, take half of one container of frosting and place in one bowl, doing the same for all three bowls.

Use the gel food colors to tint the three bowls of frosting into varying colors.

Using a teaspoon, place a spoonful of frosting onto the bottom of one cookie.

Press another cookie, flat side down, on frosting at an angle, cookies touching on one side and about 2.5cm (1") apart on the other to look like an open mouth.

Step 4

To decorate, press chocolate candies or chocolate chips into frosting for teeth.

Use colored frosting to attach eyes, using decorations as desired.
