Ingredients

Imperial | Metric | USA
  • 5 ripe bananas (cut into chunks)
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup peanut butter (or your favorite nut butter)
  • 1 graham cracker pie crust (make it yourself, or use store bought)
  • 2 tablespoons dry roasted peanuts (chopped)
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1

Put banana chunks, cocoa powder, vanilla, coconut milk and nut butter into a blender or food processor, and blend until smooth and creamy. It should look similar to cake batter. If it seems too thin, add another banana or more nut butter.

Step 2

Pour mixture into pie shell, cover and freeze for at least four hours.

Step 3

Top with chopped peanuts and chocolate chips.

Step 4

To cut, take out of the freezer and let the pie sit at room temp for about 10 minutes. Run knife under hot water for several seconds to help make cutting easier.

Would you tweak this chocolate banana freezer pie recipe? If so, how?

e.g. Add half a chopped onion, use less butter, shake not stir...
