Ingredients
Imperial | Metric | USA- 2 sausage
- 60g plain flour
- 25ml vegetable oil
- 125ml milk
Optional
- salt
- pepper
Directions
Step 1
Pre-heat the oven to 220°C / 430ºF / gas mark 7. Add the oil to an oven dish and then add the sausages. Cook for 10 minutes.
Step 2
While the sausages cook you can make the batter. In a bowl mix the flour, salt and pepper. Now make a well in the middle and add the egg.
Step 3
Whisk the egg and then mix the mixture together. Now slowly add the milk, mixing at the same time. You want to mix the whole mixture so that it is lump free and thick yet smooth.
Step 4
Once the sausages have cooked for 10 minutes remove them from the oven and pour in the batter. Return to the oven for 20 minutes.
Step 5
After 30 minutes the batter should have risen nicely and is ready to eat!
