Ingredients

Imperial | Metric | USA
  • 1kg orange
  • 1kg granulated sugar
  • 200ml water
  • 1 lemon (juiced)

Directions

Step 1

Grated oranges.

Slightly peel the oranges with a grater, don't peel all.

Step 2

Oranges being boiled in a pan.

Boil the oranges for 20 minutes.

Change the water and boil the oranges for further 30 minutes.

Drain the oranges and allow to cool.

Step 3

Diced oranges in a pan.

Dice the oranges and put them into a large pan.

Step 4

Diced oranges, covered in sugar, resting in a pan.

Pour the sugar over the oranges and wait for at least 3 hours.

Step 5

Add the water and boil on a low heat for 1 hour, and add the lemon juice.

Remove from the heat.
