Directions

Step 1

What soaking in a bowl of water.

Place the wheat in a big pan, and cover with water to 5cm (2 inches) above wheat.

Cover and soak overnight.

Step 2

Add 2 litres of water, chickpeas and haricot beans to the pan and get it to boil on high heat.

Then as soon as it boils, turn it down to medium-low heat and cook for about an hour. Stir occasionally and add boiling water if necessary.

Step 3

Dried fruit mix in a bowl.

While the wheat mix is boiling, mix the dired fruit, apple and pine nuts together in a bowl.

Step 4

Add the fruit mixture to the pan and cook for another 1 hour.

Step 5

Noah's Pudding (Ashura)

Add the sugar, stir and 5 minutes later remove from heat.

Step 6

Serve in bowls (hot, warm or cold) and sprinkle with nuts, pomegrante seeds and cinnamon.
