Ingredients
Imperial | Metric | USA- 500g boneless mutton leg (cut into roughly 2 cm cubes )
- 4 medium shallots (quartered)
- 200g roasted chestnuts (merchant gourmet whole chestnuts can be found in supermarkets)
- half a teaspoon thyme
- half a teaspoon salt
Optional
- 1 pinch of fresh parsley (for decoration)
- half a teaspoon black pepper
Directions
Step 1
Put the shallots and meat into a non-stick pan. Cook for 2 hours on a low heat, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
After 2 hours, add the chestnuts and thyme and cook for another hour.
Step 3
Add salt, stir for the last time and remove from the heat. Serve hot.
