Ingredients

Imperial | Metric | USA
  • 500g boneless mutton leg (cut into roughly 2 cm cubes )
  • 4 medium shallots (quartered)
  • 200g roasted chestnuts (merchant gourmet whole chestnuts can be found in supermarkets)
  • half a teaspoon thyme
  • half a teaspoon salt

Optional

  • 1 pinch of fresh parsley (for decoration)
  • half a teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Put the shallots and meat into a non-stick pan. Cook for 2 hours on a low heat, stirring occasionally.

Step 2

After 2 hours, add the chestnuts and thyme and cook for another hour.

Step 3

Add salt, stir for the last time and remove from the heat. Serve hot.
