Step 1

Dice and wash the cabbage, then set aside.

Step 2

Brown the mince and onion with oil in a pan.

Add the tomato puree.

Step 3

Add the cabbage, salt, rice and water.

Close the lid and cook until the cabbage is soft.

Stir occasionally, add more water if needed.

    Did this dish ever have any mushrooms in it? I kind of remember my mother making it, with potatoes and green onions in it? Please let me know.

Would you tweak this kapuska recipe? If so, how?
