Ingredients
- 4 cups whole milk (Goat's milk is used in Peru and Mexico.)
- 1 ¼ cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
Step 1
Mix all the ingredients into a heavy-bottomed saucepan and stir well until everything dissolve especially the sugar completely.
Step 2
Bring the temperature approximate to over medium heat and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to very low and simmer, stirring frequently, until thickened and caramelized, like 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
Step 3
Embace the Dulce de Leche into to a sterile or clean glass jar and refrigerate.
You can keep for 1-2 approximately weeks.
