Directions

Step 1

Boil christophene in salt water until tender.

Step 2

Remove from water and cool.

Step 3

Cut into 1cm (1/4") slices across the width and arrange into baking dish.

Step 4

Pour cream over christophene and season with salt and pepper.

Step 5

Spread cheese across the top, then spread the bread crumbs and dot the top with butter.

Step 6

Bake at 175ºC / 350ºF / Gas Mark 4 until tender and golden brown.
