Directions

Step 1

A greased cake tin

Grease a 20cm/8 inch square cake tin with butter making sure to do all of the sides too.

Step 2

Chocolate, butter and condensed milk melting in a saucepan

In a saucepan, break all of the chocolate into small pieces and then add the butter which also should be cut into small pieces. Finally add the condensed milk.

Place on a low heat until everything has melted and is a smooth mixture, do not let it boil.

Step 3

Melted chocolate, butter and condensed milk

Remove from the heat and add the vanilla. Beat the mixture for a couple of minutes until it has thickened.

Step 4

Fudge mixture in a cake tin

Pour the mixture into the tin and shake so the top is level.

Step 5

Place in the fridge until firm (anything up to 6 hours).

Tip the fudge out and cut into squares.

If you have tried this recipe, what did you think of it?

e.g. Were the instructions easy to follow, did it taste okay, any disasters?

Would you tweak this recipe? If so, how?

e.g. Add half a chopped onion, use less butter, shake not stir...
