Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl combine sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix and set aside.

Step 2

In a small bowl cream together shortening, eggs, and bananas. Mix well. Slowing add to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Add walnuts if desired and mix in.

Step 3

Pour into spayed bread tins. Bake at 175ºC / 350ºF / Gas Mark 4 for 1 hour.
