I’m speaking at Food Blogger Connect 2011!

I’m very excited to announce 2 things today.

Firstly:

We have been quietly working on a WordPress plugin to make Food Blogger's lives easier, bring more traffic to their blog and best of all, be beneficial to people who visit their blog.

We recognise that there are thousands of great food blogs out there, but few have recipes that are well formatted, coded for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and have features that make it easy for visitors to read. Our plugin is really easy to use and doesn’t require any technical knowledge.

We will be releasing more information on it within the next few weeks.

Secondly:

I am going to be speaking at the Food Blogger Connect conference in London on Sunday 14th August!

I will discuss the problems facing food bloggers (ease of use, getting recipes noticed by search engines, how recipe functionality can be enhanced, link building, etc.) and how our WordPress plugin aims to combat all these issues - with no technical knowledge required by the blogger.

I will give a live demo of the plugin, including the full end-to-end process of writing and publishing a blog post, containing a recipe. Plus I will have a Q&A session at the end.

I will also stick around so that people can talk to me after the presentation.

The conference will be a great place for me to get first impressions of the plugin from the other participants, plus I will be able to get feedback, feature requests, etc.
