Hello World

Although the site has been up and running for a while now, this is our first blog post. The reason for the delay is that we have been busily working in the background. We have only recently reached a stage where everything has come together and we now have a fully working website that we are happy to promote.
If you have read the about page, you will know that the site is founded by two geeks, namely me (Paul) and Kevin. Most recipe websites are founded by people who are primarily ‘foodies’ who know little about websites, website design and usability - that usually ends up with a website that contains a large library of recipes, but is hard to use, confusing to users and is generally poorly thought out.
Contrary to this, we have built GetMeCooking from the ground up to be a really clear, clean and easy to use website. Plus it will lead the way with new features that users will find genuinely useful. In addition, we will ensure that the library of recipes that we have will be full of content (e.g. no missing photographs), clear to follow and easy to read.
We have a huge list of plans and ideas for the site so keep a watchful eye on this blog for announcements of new features.
