We have just released version 1.07 of our Recipe Template plugin for WordPress.

Improvements:

  • It is now a lot faster and easier to add ingredients and recipe steps (big improvements here)
  • Re-organised the 'Add Recipe' screen to make it nicer to use (less scrolling!)
  • Printing of recipes (see below for more info)
  • Added more help (mouse-over the blue question marks)

Fixes

  • A print issue on some web browsers
  • Incompatibility issues with some WordPress themes
  • Minor bugs

More information on the printing

We have re-written the print functionality from scratch. Now it loads faster, works on all browsers and best of all give the user the option to print the recipe with:

  • All photographs
  • Just the main photograph
  • No photographs

Note:If you have previously modified the custom CSS, you will need to reset it and re-apply your changes in order for the new print functionality to work properly (this is mentioned in the patch release notes). To do this:

  • Go to your WordPress Dashboard
  • Settings
  • GetMeCooking Recipe Template
  • Make a note of the custom CSS you changed
  • Select 'Reset CSS back to default'
  • Re-add the custom settings you changed previously (only the configuration you changed before, don't paste everything back in)
  • Press 'Save settings'

How to get it

Updating your existing installation

If you already have the plugin installed, simply update it from within your WordPress dashboard.

    He Paul!

It works like a charm and I love the way the new printing looks. I didn't really like it before as it was a bit… well rudimentary almost…lol.. Don't know how else to describe it. But it's perfect now. And entering a recipe is now a breeze. Yeah!! I'm happy with that!

    Thanks so much
