Today we released version 1.06 of our Recipe Template plugin for WordPress.

It is only a minor update. The significant points are:

  • Added support for Imperial/US measurements
  • Added more default measurement options
  • Citing a source (author, book, etc.) no longer requires a URL
  • Added magazine as a source

We will soon be releasing an update which will make adding recipe steps and ingredients a lot faster.

It’s amazing that we have already had over 700 downloads of our plugin, which was released less than two months ago! We now have our eyes on the 1,000 download milestone :-)

Feedback has been amazing. Bloggers with new food blogs are choosing to use it and a number of existing (high-profile) blogs have already switched to it!

Please give us feedback on what you like about the plugin and what new features you would like to see.

Plus please rate us on the WordPress Plugin Directory - much appreciated!

Happy blogging.

    Hi Paula,

I'm sorry you are having difficulties. If you are missing the 'Recipes' section, it is likely that you have another plugin installed that is conflicting with ours.

Please can you e-mail us a screenshot to show which plugins you are using, then I will have a look.

Our e-mail address is at the top of http://www.getmecooking.com/contact

    Thanks.

This should be a wonderful plugin, but it's not showing up in the dashboard. I am using Wordpress 3.2.1. I've configured the plugin using the settings under Settings, but there is no Recipes section under Posts, or anywhere else in the dashboard. I've logged out and back in, refreshed the browser, rebooted the computer, to no avail.
